The CEA is a little more than half an hour from Cascia and the Sanctuary of Santa Rita.
The Sanctuary dedicated to Santa preserves the urn with the remains and was built by the will of Mother Maria Teresa Fasce since 1926. Today it consists of two churches, a monastery, a hostel and several multi-purpose rooms, the most important of which is the Hall of Peace. Besides the remains of the previous building in the sanctuary you can admire the paintings by artists such as Luigi Montanarini, Gisberto Ceracchini, Artemio Giovagnoni, Armando Marrocco and Ferruccio Ferrazzi.
The increased flow of pilgrims and devotees has in May, when a series of rites and events prepare the Feast of Santa Rita, 22 May.
